Online betting and technology provider Exaggerate confirmed this week that it has secured market access for igaming in the state of Iowa.
The deal follows the company’s announcement last week that it had gained market access to sports betting in Iowa and Indiana as well as igaming for New Jersey. Inked through a partnership with Wild Rose Animation, it adds a second igaming jurisdiction for PlayUp.
Pending legislative and regulatory approval in Iowa, the booming video game industry is, according to the company, a key indicator of the expansion of its product portfolio beyond its core sports betting product. .
If Iowa officials were to move forward with igaming, PlayUp will be poised to increase its operational footprint in the United States where it is a licensed operator in Colorado and is expected to get regulatory approval soon. in New Jersey.
CEO of PlayUp USA Dr Laila Mintas said, “We are basically an operator of Daily Fantastic Sports. We are proud of those roots and to be Australia’s premier DFS operator and to offer some of the world’s top DFS awards.
“We also see a diversified product portfolio as the key to our growth and long-term stability. Igaming is at the heart of this diversification and we are actively gaining market access in all states that offer it or will offer it in the future. ”
Tom timmons, President and COO of Wild Rose Entertainment, said, “The gaming market and consumer demands are constantly changing. We are proud to have a great partner like PlayUp in our area to maximize our potential with igaming should it ever come to Iowa.
PlayUp has already started the regulatory process to get a license in Iowa for sports betting and once the regulatory framework is in place for igaming it will do the same, according to Dr Mintas.
The company will play an active role, she added, helping shape regulations and providing information to state lawmakers and regulators if the opportunity arises.
